Rehearsals begin in June and continue through
the end of August. Concert and parade at Matthews Alive Labor Day Festival. Each rehearsal is 2 hours long and
includes a mini-party. This is not a school rehearsal, we play music and have a lot of fun. Even parents have fun interacting with other parents whose children play music.

Sizzling Strings, Inc. is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation
(501 (c)(3)). Students ages 9 and older can audition and join the Sizzling Strings and the Blazing Band. Both groups
perform concerts separately and together throughout the year. High School Sophimores, Juniors, and Seniors who play
a musical instrument can apply to be an assistant: learning the basics in conducting and working with young musicians.
